Options starting at $50; Securing a paddle-craft out the back of an SUV or in a truck bed are inexpensive options for transporting; all you need is straps. Also, if you are not committed to your car for a while and need to put on top; foam blocks and straps are another inexpensive options. We offer "off-river" rentals and use these techniques for short term kayak transporting.
Loading by yourself is always a goal for us to teach! We can find a shady spot to take our time in practicing loading and unloading to ensure you are comfortable. Take a video while we teach you so you can reference it at a later time. No age or size will stop us =)
The more you do it the better you'll get. "Practice makes perfect." The first couple of times may feel long but you are perfecting your muscle memory when you get to your launch site or after a long day of paddling. After 10 times, I bet you'll have cut your time in half.
You should be able to 80MPH once properly secure. There are so many waterways in FL! Don't let the interstate hold you back. Stop by our store and we'd be happy to check your straps and provide any suggesting to keep everyone safe.
